Delete Browsing History
Everytime we access the internet via a web browser (for example; Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or FireFox), the websites we visit are all stored on a web browser.
Browsing history is a list of web pages, and associated data, that is stored on a web browser.
Users have the option to edit or clear browser data. This can be used to delete information including web pages that have been visited, download history, passwords, and cookies.
On most browsers this information is found under:
- Settings
- Tools
You can choose to delete specific things like cookies, or to clear everything.
Example: How to clear browsing data on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer on a desktop/laptop computer.
The option to do this is generally found in the Settings and Tools area of most browsers.
Example: How to clear browsing data on Google Chrome and Samsung browsers on a smartphone. This option is generally found within the settings section of the browser you choose to use.
Note: If you are using multiple browsers and devices, clearing browsing data will only apply to the browser and device you have chosen to do this on.
