SID Awards

The Safer Internet Day Awards enable us to reward students and schools around Ireland who run events, activities and positive actions for Safer Internet Day.

There will be great prizes to be won, so stay tuned – details of the SID Awards 2022 will be announced in January!

We have a great range of competitions for primary schools to enter. We have colouring competitions, picture, poster and technology competitions.

Congratulations to the primary, and post-primary, winners in the Safer Internet Day Awards 2020!
Hundreds of students and schools from all over Ireland entered the awards, which recognise the incredible efforts of young people to highlight Safer Internet Day and to help create a safer, better internet.

We are delighted to announce that the winners of the 2021 SID Ambassador Leadership Award are Niamh Clerkin and Briana Mac Cinna from St. Louis Secondary School, Co. Monaghan. In their Safer Internet Day campaign they demonstrated the SID Ambassador values of respect, leadership, commitment, inclusion and teamwork.

Over 15 schools are being awarded for their online safety initiatives, with 200 students being recognised today at the first SID Awards ceremony at an exclusive awards ceremony in Microsoft DreamSpace. We are delighted to announce the SID Competition Winners 2017. The Grand Prize winners of the Safer Internet Day 2017 Photo Competition are the pupils of St Brendan’s NS, Eyrecourt, Co. Galway.
